INTERACTIVE HISTORY WALL

CLIENT: FLIR

LOCATION: Washington, DC

TYPE: Interactive media display

Design Objectives: To showcase FLIR's historic milestones and achievements through an interactive media display that engages and informs the public about the company's technological innovations. The display aims to create a unique experience for visitors at FLIR headquarters in Washington, DC.

Design Concept: Inspired by the Apples' famous springboard app launcher in OSX, the interactive media display uses recognizable "Iron Bow" thermal imaging gradient and LIDAR Scanners to allow participants to control the timeline with their physical body through a touch-free interaction. The display uses AI and computer vision algorithms to parse the sensor data and provide unique IDs for each participant, enabling multiple simultaneous interactions. The screens react to the presence of people passing by and invite them to explore a library of video content and animations related to FLIR's history.
