MY SHELTER

CLIENT: ADIDAS

LOCATION: New York, NY

TYPE: Experiential Event

Design Objective: The goal of this project was to create an experiential immersive environment for the product launch of Adidas Outdoor's MyShelter jacket. The objective was to give people an environment to experience the jacket in the setting where it is best suited.

Design Concept: The environment was created using projection mapping to transform the walls into a lush inner forest scene. Spatial audio was used to recreate the immersive sounds of the inner forest canopy, and low-lying fog was used to create a sense of discovery and intrigue. The project also utilized audio-reactive lighting, scenic elements hung from the roof, and custom signage to create a surreal scene to keep people entertained while they enjoyed the new Adidas jacket. The projector was short-throw and hidden within the forest canopy. The projection content was a slowly animating forest scene using forced perspective to make visitors feel like they were slowly floating through a peaceful forest canopy.

Design Challenge: The space was a small and narrow shut down bodega, previously used for storing old kitchen equipment. The main challenge was to create an immersive experience within the small and narrow space.
